Tennessee Business Enterprises is proud of its outstanding staff. We have 14 professional level positions including  3 Supervisors, 4 Specialists, and 7 Consultants. These staff members work with the licensed Managers to insure that TBE meets its obligations and commitments to our customers. Most of our staff have years of business experience and 11 have college degrees in a business-related field.  Four or 29% have Masters Degrees. Barbara Badger, Supervisor East Tennessee

Barbara serves as one of three TBE Supervisors. She is responsible for TBE's field operations in East Tennessee and manages TBE's management information system.  She is also TBE's liaison on training.   She has more than twenty years of experience with TBE, having come up through the organization. She received her Bachelor's Degree from Ohio University in Business Administration and later received her MBA. Before joining TBE, Barbara was employed in the insurance field.

Mike Rebich, Supervisor West Tennessee

Mike is TBE's Supervisor responsible for field operations in West Tennessee. He came up through the organization, having started as a TBE Consultant in 1992. He has two undergraduate degrees from the University of Memphis. One is in Business Management and the other is in Management Information Systems. He brought a wealth of retail management experience to TBE having worked for almost 7 years in management positions with Radio Shack. 

 

Everett Woods, Supervisor Middle Tennessee

Everett joined the TBE team in 1990 after several years in retail management including 10 years with Kroger and 3 years with Captain D's and Mrs. Winners. He  served as a TBE Specialist in the Middle Tennessee area before being named Supervisor for the Middle Tennessee area. He is a graduate of Tennessee State University in Nashville where he received his degree in Business Administration.

Fern Persky, Consultant  Johnson City

Julie Inman, Specialist Knoxville

Julie is a Consultant in our Knoxville regional office. She works directly with the licensed Managers in that area. Julie came aboard with TBE in 1994. She is a graduate of the University of Tennessee. Prior to being employed by TBE, Julie worked in the private sector as a Business Manager/Consultant.

Vacant, Specialist Knoxville

Deetra is one of TBE's younger staff people. She is one of two Consultants serving Southeast Tennessee. She has been employed by TBE for six years. She is a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga where she had a double major in Business Management and Human Resources Management. Before being hired by TBE, Deetra worked in banking. 

John Pirtle, Specialist  Chattanooga

John has been a member of the TBE team since 2000.  He works as a Specialist in the Chattanooga area working directly with the facility Managers.  He also serves as editor of TBE's quarterly newsletter.  He has an undergraduate degree in Marketing and an MBA Degree from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Before joining TBE, John had several years of experience as an affiliate broker in the real estate business. 

Ken George, Consultant  Nashville

Ken is TBE's longest tenured staff person. He has been employed with TBE for more than 30 years. He currently serves as a Consultant in the Nashville regional office where he works with approximately 15 licensed Managers. Ken is a graduate of Tennessee Tech University where he received a BS Degree in Business Management. Prior to joining TBE, Ken owned and operated his own business.

Marla Hamm, Consultant Nashville

Marla Hamm is TBE's newest Consultant.  She works with licensed Managers in the Middle Tennessee area.  Marla, the mother of a three-year old, transferred to TBE from another position in the Department of Human Services.  She graduated in 2004 from Trevecca Nazarene College with a degree in Business Management and Human Relations.  Her experience with state government and her educational background are both valuable assets to TBE and the vendors with whom she will be working.
 

Kevin A. Mahoney, Specialist Nashville

 Kevin is one of TBE's Consultants in Middle Tennessee.  He comes from a background of Banking and General Business Management with over 18 years of experience.  He is a graduate of Minnesota State University and received his degree in Business Administration.

Melinda Jones, Specialist Jackson

Melinda Jones is the BE Consultant serving Jackson and rural West Tennessee.  Melinda is a 1995 graduate from the University of Tennessee at Martin where she majored in Business Administration.  She comes to TBE after several years in the private sector.  Her education and work experiences are valuable assets to TBE and to her  West Tennessee Managers.

Cheryl began her career with TBE in 1997 and serves as one of two Consultants in the Memphis area. She has a BS Degree from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a dual major in Marketing and Home Economics. Prior to being hired by TBE, Cheryl worked as an Assistant Branch Manager of a major finance company. 

Bill Sheils, Consultant Memphis

Bill joined TBE in November 2007 and serves as a TBE Consultant in the Memphis Region.  Bill is a graduate from the University of Memphis and received his degree in Business Administration.  Bill brings an extensive business background to TBE that includes over 15 years experience in real estate and residential property management in the state of Florida.   In addition, he and his wife previously owned and managed two local restaurants in the Memphis area.
